The 3.25" Slinko from Yamamoto is a bite-sized version of the original 5.5" Slinko. Built using the same Mega Floater Formula that makes its bigger predecessor so unique, the 3.25" Slinko produces in multiples applications, ranging from Ned rigs to Carolina rigs. The 5.5” Slinko is unlike anything in our product line. First, the ribbed shape body allows for bulk while maintaining the classic Senko profile. The ribs not only make for great hooksets, they put off bubbles to give a more lifelike presentation. The most important aspect of the Slinko is its construction from our new Mega Floater Formula. It stands up on a jighead, dances vertically on Neko rig, and floats on a Carolina Rig. Although new, it has the unmatched action that you would expect to get only from Yamamoto Baits!

RE-inventing the Senko
Can the senko be made better, didn’t think so either, but they did! I was looking forward to this one from the 1st rumors of it. The deep ribs combined with the float plastic or high float formula I think they call it make for a unique, unmatched bait that can be fished several several ways. Have had great success so far Tx rigged hopping/dragging it. With the tail floating up makes it easier for it to be inhaled. Found the 5/16 weight works best for me. Used a 4/0 ewg superline hook and with the ribs the point can be buried in like a flipping hook just hook preference. Finesse rigged neko style tho is prob fave so far bc the action is crazy and unmatched by any other stickbait. The ribs would create a ton of bulk but actually doesn’t. Have rigged on shaky head and rugby head and done decent as well. Living on G’ville I’m waiting to put this thing on a big shaky head and fish it deep on the ledges showing different look where usually see 8”-11” bullworms or ribbon tail worms. Gets bit bottom line, already ordered more. No matter your brand of choice you need a few packs of these in the boat!

I love this thing! However, if I set the hook on one nibble or bite, this worm rips a part, and I have to put on a new one. If the Gary Yamamoto team makes the Slinko more durable, it will get a 5 star rating! Maybe a harder plastic needs to be used for the Slinko. However, I would not want to lose the floating action or the subtle tail waves that occur while reeling it in texas rigged.
